Job summary We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced hospital pharmacist to join our group of senior pharmacists.
In addition to leading the neurosciences pharmacy team, you will provide operational and governance support to the Salford Royal Hospital pharmacy department.
As the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a highly specialised pharmacy services to our patients at one of the busiest Neurosciences units in the UK.
You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
Your proven track record within acute hospital clinical pharmacy and neurosciences will be instrumental in shaping services.
We will support you to develop your clinical, leadership and research skills.

Main duties of the job Supporting with the development of services for patients under the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences.
Provide clinical expertise and leadership and contribute to team development and research.
Responsibility for the co-ordination and review of Salford Care Organisation PGDs.
Provide support for Salford Care Organisation medication related incidents and subsequent investigations where necessary.
Operating as an active prescriber, leading your team to ensure medicines reconciliation is completed and ensuring medicines optimisation and safety projects are delivered.
Working with the senior clinical pharmacy leadership team to drive forward our clinical pharmacy service for the future.
Supporting the wider medicines optimisation strategy and clinical governance processes and be a role model for others.
