This is a hybrid role working from any of our offices in the UK (Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh or London).
As a Senior QA Engineer your duties will include:
Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test cases to ensure high-quality product releases.Automate functional, regression, and end-to-end tests for mobile applications, ensuring thorough test coverage and effective defect identification.Collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure proper CI/CD pipelines and processes are implemented, enhancing build, integration, and release processes.Conduct performance testing and monitor application performance post-release, identifying any potential bottlenecks and issues.Implement best practices for mobile QA, promoting high standards across all QA activities.Maintain high standards in code quality, security, and API testing.Log, track, and manage software defects effectively and communicate issues to relevant teams with clear, concise, and actionable insights.Requirements Proficient in automation tools and frameworks for React Native testing such as Detox, Appium and Jest.Experienced with back-end API testing and automation testing with Postman, Bruno or similar.Comprehensive understanding of functional and non-functional testing, including performance and regression testing.Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices using tools like Expo and AzureDevOps.Proficient in at least one programming language for automation scripting.Ability to create test strategies and plans, ensuring comprehensive test coverage based on specifications.Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA and leading triage meetings.Strong problem-solving abilities to identify risks and propose effective solutions.Experience communicating with clients and stakeholders regarding testing progress and findings.Familiarity with industry-specific QA practices, particularly in finance, healthcare, or technology.The recruitment process you can expect for this role is an initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner who will chat with you about Waracle, what you are looking for in a new position, the day rate for the role, notice period and contract duration.
