Arena Investors, LP, is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk-adjusted, consistent, and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire capital spectrum (both debt and equity); in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce.
We are seeking a talented individual to join our European Private Investments team. The successful candidate will be expected to evaluate, analyze and execute non-standard investment ideas. Arena's investments are typically complex, flexibly structured, geographically / industry agnostic and usually considered to be "non-traditional" or "esoteric" illiquid middle market positions with a strong component of tangible and/or intangible asset backing. The firm follows an investment process that is fundamentals driven and capitalizes upon "process driven wrinkles," "perceived risk" and other "special situations" in order to generate superior risk-adjusted returns. Arena has a flexible multi-strategy investment mandate to directly originate and execute corporate, specialty finance, real estate, energy and structured investments. Transaction sizes typically range from $10 to $50 million.
Responsibilities include: · Perform comprehensive asset and business due diligence, build financial models, perform valuation analysis, financial analysis and conduct industry research.
· Attend management meetings, work with legal, financial and accounting advisors on process management, due diligence and structuring.
· Prepare and present comprehensive investment memorandums and investment committee materials.
· Participate in portfolio investment monitoring and post-closing events.

· Strong academic performance and a demonstrated historical willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
· Minimum 3 to 5 years of buy side, investment banking and / or relevant leverage finance experience (credit knowledge is a plus).
· Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) and business fluent in German or French.
