Client With an annual turnover over 1bn, and some of the largest reader numbers in the UK, the potential to grow the profile and revenues on this sleeping giant is incredible, all your agency contacts will love the numbers, their clients will love their response rate, and you'll get the chance to really flex your creative muscles, it really doesn't get much better, the scope is limitless.
You will be tasked with taking a newly launched product to market, selling cross platform deals in print, online and partnerships, selling to all the major agency groups, bringing on the best brands out there.
Responsibility Print & digital multi-channel sales to both client direct and agencies To maximise the generation of advertising revenue To sell advertising according to the rate and yield policy of the title.
To ensure that the magazine and its commercial possibilities are made known to the agency portfolio and client category for which you have responsibility.
To achieve the number of calls as per the target set by the Commercial Director.
To produce written reports, documents and proposals to a professional standard.
To plan, strategically, the generation of revenue from growth categories and/or problem clients.
To assist the Commercial Director with the identification and conversion of appropriate leads.
To identify and exploit additional revenue opportunities over and above the sales of advertising space (sponsorship, bulk sales, promotions etc.)
Knowledge To acquire a thorough knowledge of your own title and other associated/competing titles in the marketplace.
To pass competitor and market intelligence to the Advertisement Director and the team.
To become proficient with the definition and application of standard industry and proprietary research.
To assist fellow members of the team with the construction of sales arguments and the creation of proposals and presentation documents.
To administrate your selling effort efficiently and in accordance with the procedures set in place by your Commercial Director.
To be aware of relevant account moves, industry news and competitive media (TV, Outdoor, Radio, etc) by regular monitoring of the trade press (Media Week, Campaign Media Business).
Attitude To conduct yourself and maintain your appearance to an acceptable professional standard.
To generate a list of senior agency contacts.
