Milk Education is looking for a compassionate and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting primary-aged children with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.This role is essential in helping students to thrive in the classroom by providing targeted support that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, the SENCO and other staff to help create an inclusive learning environment.
Your primary focus will be to assist students in managing their behaviour, so they can fully engage in learning and reach their potential.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with behavioural difficulties, helping them manage emotions and interactionsAssist in the development and implementation of behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students' needsWork collaboratively with teachers to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management in the classroomMonitor and record student progress, feeding back to teachers, parents, and relevant professionalsAbout You:Experience working with children, especially those with behavioural or emotional challenges (experience in a school setting is preferred)A good understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategiesA passion for helping children to overcome barriers and achieve their potentialA relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential)Why choose Milk?Milk Education are an eco-friendly, purpose-driven supply agency, driven to make a change.
