We are seeking a passionate and committed individual who is ready to make a significant impact on the lives of our pupils.
As SENCO, you will lead the day-to-day provision for pupils with SEND across both the Mainstream School and the Specialist Resourced Provision.
This role offers a rewarding chance to help shape the aspirations and achievements of children while working closely with supportive parents and carers.
The ideal candidate will possess: Qualified Teacher Status with 5+ years of teaching experience The National Award for SEN Co-ordination (or be working towards it) A solid understanding of the SEND Code of Practice Proven experience working with children with a variety of Special Educational Needs The ability to lead and guide staff in developing their expertise in supporting SEND pupils, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning Experience supporting pupils with diverse abilities and needs, including SEND, LAC, Pupil Premium, EAL, and G&T Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the Headteacher, SLT, and Governors to meet statutory requirements and achieve excellence for all pupils A proven track record of outstanding teaching, leadership, and management skills The ability to oversee and support the work of Teaching Assistants working with SEND pupils Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with external agencies and build partnerships with parents, carers, and the wider community Key responsibilities include: Providing professional guidance and training to staff on SEN strategies and best practices Ensuring statutory requirements for SEND are met, with a focus on raising pupil outcomes Developing effective partnerships with external agencies to secure additional support and resources This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on childrens educational journeys while developing your leadership skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
