Learning Support Assistant | Buxton, SK17 | £100 - £105 | Long Term to Perm | ASAP We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our client, A specialised school, supporting students with complex difficulties and learning challenges, including Autism, physical disabilities, and multiple learning difficulties.
This role is crucial in fostering an inclusive environment that empowers our students to thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities Provide tailored support to enhance students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Assist with daily activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all learners.
Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to implement individualised EHCPs.
Help manage challenging behaviours by employing positive reinforcement techniques.
Encourage student independence and self-advocacy through skill-building activities.
Candidate Requirements Experience working with individuals with special educational needs, preferably in an educational setting.
A genuine passion for supporting young people and a commitment to their personal development.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
