About the Role:We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at a SEN-school in Plymouth.
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting and educating students with special educational needs.
You will work closely with students, their families, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Teachers will be paid in line with the main pay scales depending on their experience.Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEN- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support- Collaborate with other teachers and professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of students- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in team meetings and parent conferencesRequirements:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working in SEN settings- Strong understanding of different types of special educational needs and strategies to support them- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with SEN- Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students- Excellent organisational and time management skills- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)Schedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayNo weekendsWho is Zen Educate?We are a certified social enterprise working with over 600 schools across the UK and appreciate the importance of a good teacher.
