Key Responsibilities: Assess the individual needs of students and identify barriers to learning.
Plan and deliver tailored schemes of work to meet the academic and emotional needs of students with SEMH challenges.
Support students to build confidence, resilience, and engagement with their learning.
Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and overcome obstacles to progress.
Monitor and track progress, providing regular updates to parents, carers, or other professionals as required.
Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment for all students.
About You: Experienced in working with children and young people with SEMH needs.
Confident in assessing, planning, and delivering bespoke learning interventions.
Knowledgeable about strategies to support students with SEMH and promote positive behavior.
Empathetic, patient, and passionate about helping students achieve their potential.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships.
Requirements: Experience teaching or tutoring students with SEMH needs (QTS or qualifications in education or mental health are desirable but not essential).
A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
Flexibility to work part-time hours tailored to student availability.
