This intimate setting caters to students aged 7 to 13 who face challenges in mainstream schools or alternative provisions due to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, complex learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges.SEMH Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:Individualised Support: Provide personalized assistance to students, ensuring their unique learning needs are met.Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective strategies tailored to each student.1:1 Attention: Deliver one-on-one support to help students thrive academically and emotionally.Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with relevant stakeholders.SEMH Teaching Assistant Qualifications and Experience:Previous experience in an educational or youth support setting is essential.Demonstrated ability to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEMH challenges.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.Desirable Attributes for the appointed SEMH Teaching Assistant:Formal qualifications in education, child development, or a related field.Experience with behaviour management and mentoring.Proficiency in utilising educational technology and resources.Benefits for the successful SEMH Teaching Assistant:A supportive and collaborative working environment.Opportunities for professional development and training.The chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.Application Process:
