Job Title: Security Engineer

Salary: £55k - £70k
Position Overview: I'm looking for an experienced and technically skilled Security Engineer to join my client, a Gen AI Marketing platform. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the onboarding process, administering Google Workspace, and configuring key tools like Slack and Jira. You will also play a critical role in monitoring system logs, producing reports, and helping to respond to security incidents and events. Your work will ensure the secure and smooth operation of our tools and infrastructure, while helping to implement and improve security best practices.
Key Responsibilities: Help to create, document and manage the process for onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring secure account setups and access controls across systems. Administer and secure Google Workspace, including managing user accounts, groups, and security configurations. Configure and maintain access to SaaS tools such as Slack, Jira, and others, in compliance with security standards and company policies. Monitor and analyse logs from various platforms to detect anomalies, security incidents, and potential vulnerabilities. Generate regular security and system health reports from log data to provide insights to senior management. Respond and help to manage security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to investigate and resolve issues. Assist in maintaining and enforcing identity and access management (IDAM) policies and procedures. Support security audits and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations. Key Skills and Experience: IT Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security best practices, particularly in account management, access control, and incident response. Google Workspace Administration: Experience administering Google Workspace, including user provisioning, security settings, and management. SaaS Tool Management: Expertise in configuring and maintaining Slack, Jira, and other workplace tools with a focus on security. Log Analysis & Reporting: Ability to monitor system logs, identify potential security threats, and produce detailed reports for management. Security Incident Monitoring & Response: Experience detecting, responding to, and managing security incidents. Onboarding and Offboarding: Proven experience in securely managing the process for new starters and leavers, ensuring proper access controls. Bonus Points for: Familiarity with Sprinto or similar compliance automation tools. Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), role-based access control, and access provisioning. Experience with log aggregation and monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, or similar. Holding a CISMP (Certificate in Information Security Management Principles) qualification.
