Job Description Location: Quidenham NR16 \n Salary: £12.50ph \n Hours: The role is full time, 40 hours a week, 7:30-16:00 (half hour unpaid lunch) Monday to Friday \n You must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate which is either to be undertaken by us, or have an up-to-date online check already.
\n We're currently looking for a full time school caretaker to join our clients housekeeping team.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards throughout the school.
Someone with trade/labouring experience or, as a minimum, a reasonable DIY skill set.
\n \n Key Duties: \n \n \n \n As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring that the school is well-maintained, clean, safe, and secure at all times.
You will perform a variety of tasks to support the smooth day-to-day running of the school, including : \n \n General maintenance and repairs across the school premises \n Opening and closing the school \n Ensuring the safety and security of the building and grounds \n Maintaining cleanliness and performing routine inspections of facilities \n Liaising with contractors and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed \n \n \n \n \nSkills and Qualifications\n \n \n \n Knowledge, skills and experience: \n \n Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative \n Demonstrable attention to detail and pride in work \n Ability to recognise the need for confidentiality \n Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills \n Ability to be flexible \n Understanding of principles of Health and Safety \n COSHH - safe use of chemicals \n Electrical safety \n First Aid Certificate - desirable but not essential \n \n Requirements : \n \n Good level of fitness \n The role will require some manual handling tasks - lifting, carrying \n Ability to work with appropriate cleaning products \n Ability to safely use a range of cleaning equipment \n Understanding of health and safety legislation and/or have a willingness to learn \n Ongoing training will be provided to support this role \n \n \n Due to the location of the school, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle \n Please contact our office on 01603 536788 / 07824 078803 or email \n Major Recruitment act as an Employment Agency for permanent roles and an Employment Business for temporary opportunities \n INDER \n \n \n
