In order to take our Sales Department to the next level, we are looking to welcome a Fleet Sales Team Leader to report into our Senior Sales Manager with the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of our overall sales through structured and consistent delivery of management aligned to sales technique, sales strategy, and sales theory/philosophy.
This role is about leading the sales department.
Inspiring them will be crucial to the success of this role across our Fuel division.
Brief Overview: Fleet Sales Team Leader Permanent Opportunity: Full Time Basic Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 Commission Structure: Competitive Location: Birmingham, B2 (Hybrid) Requirements of the role: Lead and manage a sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales targets and objectives.
Understand our customer portfolio and allocate data for Sales Agents to target effectively.
Set clear performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and implement strategies to enhance team productivity.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies, tactics, and action plans to drive revenue growth, upsell effectively and expand the customer base.
Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring it's robust, accurate, and effectively managed to meet revenue targets.
Understand our customer portfolio and allocate data for Sales Agents to target effectively.
Assist in acquiring new customers through proactive outreach and collaboration with marketing efforts.
Maximise Early Life Management Volume (ELM) of new customers and ensure high customer success through the coaching & process Collaborate with the wider Sales and Marketing directorate to optimise Sales Agent onboarding and retention.
Identify skills gaps and deliver coaching/training to maintain a high-performing team.
Present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports to the wider business.
Provide tracking updates and forecasts to the Senior Sales Manager.
Partner with Recruitment/People to Recruit, coach, and develop Sales Agents to achieve consistent results.
Liaise with stakeholders and departments to enhance the Sales Department's operation.
Communicate effective sales techniques and strategies to build a high-performing team.
Drive performance through engagement, incentives, and daily kick-off meetings.
Conduct regular feedback sessions and performance reviews.
Ensure compliance and quality standards are met in all customer interactions.
To have the ability to contribute to The Fuel Store's success, you will need proven experience in: Proven demonstratable experience in a Sales Management role.
Driving forward Sales Volume & Revenue Growth Growing Customer Acquisition and Customer Success Upsell and Cross-Sell Success to increase total spend Driving Team Productivity and Performance Metrics (e.g., ELM Volume, Conversion Rates) Sales Pipeline Management (e.g., Lead Generation, Conversion Rates) The ability to learn quickly and take in complex information Familiarity with CRM systems and sales processes Strong leadership abilities with experience in engaging, recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing sales team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate strategies, goals, and objectives.
Ability to interpret data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions to enhance sales outcomes.
Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Proactive and self-motivated individual with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive results.
Relevant certifications in sales management or leadership (e.g., Certified Sales Professional) are advantageous.
Familiarity with the Oil/Gas/Energy or Fuel industries is advantageous.
