Job Description Summary We are currently seeking a Sales Account Manager with a proven track record of sales success in the Chemical/Life sciences/Process Industry.
As an individual contributor, you will lead cross-functional teams to formulate client strategies, manage client solutions, and close on strategic client opportunities.
The right candidate will be focused on maximizing and increasing the value delivered by AspenTech solutions to our clients by positioning AspenTech's comprehensive software portfolio and implementation services of world leading Engineering, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management, and Asset Performance Management solutions.
Summary Create, develop account and relationship at all levels in the customer organization.
Articulates solution business value to customers and leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs whilst coordinating the involvement of all necessary.
Demonstrate understanding of the customer's business priorities and initiatives.
Discuss relevant trends and priorities integrating industry knowledge and solution knowledge.
Gain complete understanding of current usage of AspenTech software applications, white space and competitive software usage within the Account.
Ability to challenge customers' current way of doing business to drive results.
Achieve quarterly and annual sales quota with exceptional forecast predictability.
Achieve assigned objectives of sales pipeline development and sales progression/velocity.
Manage day to day sales process, coordinate account meetings, and coordinate sales support resources.
Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, and operational usage of SalesForce.com.
Coordinate and lead multidivisional account teams to achieve customer success.
Work as a team leader and member collaboratively on sales engagements involving global account opportunities.
Develop and nurture C Level relationships at assigned customers, with the intention of having referenceable customers and becoming a trusted advisor.
Additional Chemical Engineering or relevant technical University degree, albeit experience is equally important.
Demonstrated track record in successful direct sales of software solutions, with documented over achievement of sales quotas over multiple years.
Extensive experience selling to customers in the Chemical/Life sciences/Processing/Engineering industry.
Proficient at establishing and cultivating "C" level consultative relationships.
Excellent written, oral communication skills with impressive professional gravitas.
Self-discipline and motivation to produce results with indirect supervision.
Travel is expected c50% of time.
