Job summary A fantastic opportunity for a Safeguarding Practitioner has risen to join the Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, who has been awarded Mental Health Provider of the Year in the HSJ Awards.You will be transforming care for the populations we serve, whilst maximising safeguarding from a 'think family' approach integral to all of our services.You will be a registered professional with a passion for safeguarding underpinned with excellent working knowledge of the appropriate legislation including adults and children.
You will work in an integrated safeguarding role working to maximise safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults.The role encompasses working within a busy duty desk, support to staff on safeguarding matters, support with organising and facilitating training.
Main duties of the job The main duties of the role include: To be accountable for the delivery of high quality safeguarding services in an integrated safeguarding team, to provide safeguarding and organisational leadership, ensuring the delivery of evidence based safeguarding interventions and practice for both adult and child.To continue to demonstrate specialist skills in practice and provide support and advice re: service development and the delivery of care in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers and other agencies, across a number of teams.To be responsible for achieving key performance indicators for the service's safeguarding delivery.To be accountable to the Named Professional for Adult Safeguarding and the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children you will work within the Trust safeguarding team and work collaboratively with clinical teams and external partners across the geography of the Trust.You will work as part of the team delivering specialist safeguarding training to all Trust staff, in line with the intercollegiate documents for children and adults.

Job description Job responsibilities For further information with regard to this vacancy, please see attached Job Description and Person Specification Person Specification Qualifications and Knowledge Essential Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, Working Together, Childrens Act 1989, Care Act 2014 Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified service area.
Evidence of project work that has had a positive impact on service delivery Professional qualification to degree level or Diploma level Current registration on the NMC or Social Work England register Desirable Evidence of contribution to research Evidence of policy implementation and development Working knowledge of Social Care/Health data bases Advanced/expert clinical qualification Adult Teaching qualification Experience Essential Evidence of sound post-registration professional practice Demonstrable experience of recent working in the specific field where the post is held.
Able to demonstrate examples of positive impact/change within service delivery/practice at an advanced level.
Evident of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the service area to specialist level of post-graduate diploma or equivalent knowledge/experience learning Evident of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development.
Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation.
To network locally and regionally Desirable A breadth of professional practice including specialising in the field where the post is held Development of continued knowledge and skills.
Ability to work across team/organisational boundaries developing and maintaining multiprofessional and multi-agency partnerships.
Experience of working within an integrated team.
