Part-Time Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Southwark Borough Salary: (£28,412 - £34, 502: Pro -rata £13,661 - 16,590 - 22.5 hours per week) ASAP Start Are you passionate about safeguarding and supporting the most vulnerable young people?

TimePlan Education are looking for an exceptional part-time Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join our Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Southwark.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that all our clients pupils thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
About the Role Location: Southwark PRU Hours: Part-time (3 or 4 days per week) Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experienceKey Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns, ensuring all policies and procedures are rigorously implemented.
Support staff in identifying and managing child protection issues, providing expert advice and training.
Work collaboratively with external agencies, including social care, health, and the police, to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding requirements.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and staff, fostering a culture of safety and inclusivity.About You You'll be: Experienced in safeguarding and child protection, ideally within an educational or alternative provision setting.
A natural leader with a proven ability to manage complex and sensitive situations.
Empathetic and resilient, with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable young people.
Skilled in building relationships and confident working with multi-agency teams.
Familiar with statutory safeguarding frameworks and best practices.
