Retirement Housing Advisor

Job Title: Retirement Housing Advisor (Neighbourhood Housing) Location: Lewes and Eastbourne Hours per Week: 37 hours Rate of Pay: £17 P/H (Umbrella) Lewes and Eastbourne are currently looking for an experienced Retirement Housing Advisor to join their team.
Main Duties: Support the delivery of tenancy management services, particularly for older and vulnerable tenants, across Eastbourne and Lewes, focusing on promoting independence and self-service options.
Assess risks and vulnerabilities of tenants, collaborating with partner agencies to provide appropriate support, including safeguarding referrals.
Manage urgent tenant queries, maintain statutory landlord and health and safety requirements, and ensure accurate information is recorded in relevant systems, following data protection regulations.
Contribute to process improvements, develop tools and guidance for the team, and support the promotion of Council services via social media and other communication channels.
Candidate Requirements: Experience in tenancy management, particularly with older and vulnerable tenants, and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Strong communication skills with the ability to respond to urgent tenant concerns and work with partner agencies.
Ability to manage and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with data protection and financial regulations.
Self-motivated with the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team, contributing to process improvements and service delivery.
