This is a brand new role and you will have the autonomy to manage your own caseload in a unique setting.
The London region currently covers six sites including, HMP Belmarsh, HMP Thameside, Heathrow IRC, HMP Pentonville, HMP Wormwood Scrubs and HMP Brixton.
In this role you will be working across all sites with the possibility to work from home 1 day a week.
Hours Monday to Friday - to ; Salary This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £58,025 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job As a Respiratory Specialist Nurse, your responsibilities will vary.
You will To act as a specialist practitioner in the assessment and treatment of patients with respiratory disease (COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease and Bronchiectasis) and other healthcare professionals whilst working collaboratively under the NMOC framework.
This will be to provide the best care and support to patients and staff through an integrated approach.
This will include a specialist respiratory holistic assessment, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of patient care including, QoF, referrals to specialist pathways and developing individualised treatment/care plans.
Conduct Annual Long Term Condition (Respiratory) reviews in line with Health in Justice 7A indicators and service specification.
Offer health promotion advice and support to patients with respiratory disease including smoking cessation where appropriate.

Requirements Current NMC registration as 1st Level Registered Nurse or equivalent Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) and its application Assessor/supervisor/ENB 998 or equivalent training Degree/diploma or on pathway/equivalent Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.

Job description Job responsibilities As a Respiratory Nurse Specialist workingwithin Health in Justice (HiJ) you will focus upon the autonomous assessment,management, review and supportive care of patients living with a respiratorydiagnosis including COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease, Bronchiectasis and Asthma.This will include admission avoidance and supporting patients and staff postdischarge from hospital as well.

Within our Practice Plus Group (PPG) HiJestablishments we are moving away from a tradition medical model, where teamswork in silo, to an integrated care pathway approach (New Models of Care(NMOC)), which follows the patient journey.
As the Respiratory NurseSpecialist, you will support the care planning in each pathway, all patientsregardless of where they are in their journey to ensure shared care anddecision making.
Applicants will demonstrate extensiverespiratory knowledge with appropriate post registration qualifications andexcellent communication skills.
An understanding of the current drivers inrespiratory care nationally to transform services is an essential requirement.Quality improvement and patient safety is a core ethos of the service.You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to;Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seekingout, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalisedand informed by what matters to them.
