Food Production Operative - Meat - Xmas Role Location: Redscar, Preston Salary: £11.50 per hour Food Production Operative - Meat Job type Full-time, 5 Days per week for 2 weeks initially to support with Xmas volumes.
Shifts Fixed shift patterns which will include Saturday working.
Shift times are 07:00 - 15:30 We are looking to recruit food production operatives who will be responsible for the preparation and packaging of meat products for our stores at our manufacturing centre in Preston Pay, working hours & benefits: In addition to your pay you will also benefit from: Regular breaks during your shift.
Full training provided.
Canteen facilities including free Tea & Coffee along with subsidised Hot Food Workplace pension, upon qualification As one of our food production operatives you will: Be working in a chilled environment at 2- 5 degrees celcius, you will be provided with overalls but you need to dress warm underneath as well.
To undertake the necessary training and any relevant refresher training in order to maintain effectiveness in your role and to carry out your role in a safe and efficient manner.
Lifting products upto 25KG.
Carry out general cleaning of the manufacturing site.
Work within the health and safety requirements of the site.
You will need: To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
Safety footwear and a Hi-Visibility top to access the site To be able to work in a refrigerated environment To help promote and encourage the spirit of teamwork within the manufacturing areas and ensure the support of your colleagues To demonstrate all the characteristics of the client outlined in their Company Purpose generous, warm, caring, uncompromising, bold, innovative and winning.
Although it is not essential, if you have experience of working in a food manufacturing environment or experience working with manual handling equipment then let us know about it in your application.
