Role Overview: The Estate Security Officer will be reporting directly to the Estate Security Team Leader, you will demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our staff, contractors, visitors, and residents.
The Estate Security Officer role requires a high level of self-presentation, customer service & communication skills, which are essential along with a positive/helpful attitude.
The shift pattern will be a 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off working pattern with 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities: Work with the Security Officers in your team to ensure all Security records during your shifts are kept up to date.
Work with the Security Officers in your team to confirm all incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures.
Assist the Estate Security Manager / Team leaders in developing and sharing "best practice," and use of systems and tools to improve service effectiveness.
Ability to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to our staff, contractors, visitors, and residents.
Complete patrols internally and externally.
Use CCTV, Access Control, Alarm Systems in accordance with SOP's.
Welcome and register contractors carrying out works in the Estate in line with the Meridian and PTW SOP's.
Manage the Estate's keys administration system, keeping our log up to date and ensuring all keys are accounted for in line with SOP's Manage the Estate's Parcel log system, keeping our log up to date and ensuring all parcels are accounted for in line with SOP's Be able to cover Security Team Leader shift in emergencies.
Work with the Security Officers in your team to ensure all parking are adhered to, as per the parking management system operating on site.. To be trained and use body camera during your shift.
Proficiently use all relevant surveillance and communications equipment.
Ability to work in a team as well as on your own.
Be able to deal with confrontational situations whilst remaining calm and confident under pressure.
Ability to be pro-active, use initiative and think on your feet.
Ensure staff, contractors, visitors, and residents' requirements are dealt with efficiently, always providing an exceptional customer service.
Ensure expectations are met, if not exceeded.
Any other reasonable request from the Estate Security Manager.
Must Haves: SIA and CCTV SIA Licence required, as this position will consist of a rotation guarding, patrolling and control room.
At least 2 years' experience in Corporate or Estate Security and Customer service.
Excellent command of the English language.
Immaculate presentation and outstanding communications skills, customer service and customer relationship management.
Physically fit to complete patrols.
Friendly, professional, and courteous demeanour.
Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and to deal with contentious and challenging situations.
Punctual, reliable and with an enthusiastic, proactive attitude.
First Aid qualified.
Conflict management awareness is essential.
