Over View of the role: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pre-Awards administration, excellent communication skills, experience in the research or higher education sector, data analysis, & an overall understanding of research funding processes.
This role is integral in managing client relationships, ensuring an excellent user journey, and providing analytical support to optimise the pre-award processes in our software.
Key Responsibilities: Work with clients to conduct thorough analysis of current pre-award systems and processes.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with research administrators, faculty, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
Provide training and support to end-users on system functionalities and updates.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather feedback and ensure alignment on system enhancements.
Work with our development team to translate business requirements into specifications for system enhancements.
Provide support and training to users of the pre-award systems, addressing any issues or queries promptly.
Participate in project teams and working groups to support pre-award initiatives and system improvements.
Occasional UK travel required to meet our clients onsite.
Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in system administration, preferably within a research or academic environment.
Strong understanding of research funding processes and pre-award administration.
Proficiency in using and managing research administration systems Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is desirable.
