LOCATION: Manchester /Hybrid (3 days from the office) SALARY: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum ? Our strategy is to transform how organisations leverage market intelligence globally, regionally, and locally with our one-of-a-kind methodology You will be part of Research Solutions at the heart of our business, primarily supporting Tailored Projects and from time-to-time Market Intel.
Tailored Projects are those commissioned by existing customers, and include brand uplift (advertising effectiveness) studies, brand heath trackers and segmentations.
Market Intel projects are primarily derived from analysis of data from our Kids, Parents and NextGen Insight surveying.
You will be responsible for the design, set up, management and coordination of research projects across the department, to run commissioned projects as an effective project lead, handling relevant client communications and general queries, ensuring the execution of the agreed proposals and materials meet specifications and to continue to learn and master research skills.
Key Responsibilities including but not limited to: Provide a 'safe pair of hands' in the management of more research projects.
Effectively manage multiple projects at once and anticipate potential problems and how to prevent them.
Brainstorm projects regarding research design, scope, costs and timing.
Design research and draft short custom research proposals that demonstrate good knowledge.
Carry out tasks displaying solid basic research knowledge.
Draft and/or produce research projects outputs.
Data collection (design Tabspec, data tables, analysis plan, report design).
Excellent report writing and presentations skills.
Keep abreast of current trends within market research, to develop personal skills, kids, teens, families and young adult knowledge base.
Keen to learn and be proactive about self-development and development of others.
Essential skills & attributes: Minimum 2 years' experience of good foundation in market research (client-side or agency).
Practical experience and understanding of the research process to coordinate research projects from initiation to completion.
Understanding of basic methodologies and techniques to provide input into research design.
Understanding of customer issues and processes to enable input into discussions, research design, brainstorming, etc.
Experience in questionnaire design, table specifications and project management.
Able to work effectively in a team and independently.
Knowledge of basic statistics an advantage.
Excellent computing skills especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Able to work under pressure and meet department and customer deadlines.
Excellent data preparation skills.
