Job Summary: Provide, under direct supervision, support for specified research projects; collect, assess, and communicate data/results. Assist in general laboratory operation and inventory.
The Hiremath lab is in search of a dynamic candidate who can excel in our intellectually stimulating and collaborative research environment. Dr. Hiremath, a pediatric gastroenterologist specializing in esophageal diseases, leads our translational research on eosinophilic esophagitis, an allergic inflammation of the esophagus.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support for specific research projects under direct supervision. This will involve collecting, assessing, and communicating data and results related to our ongoing research.
Important skills: Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biology, Physics or Chemistry.Possess or be willing to obtain training in spectroscopy and multivariate statistical methods.Under supervision, run experiments, assays, and record results.Follow experimental protocols and handle tissue samples per protocol (may include tissue culture, cell culture).
