We are now looking for a UK based Research and Innovation Manager to join our team.What our Research and Innovation Manager will do As part of our R&D management team, our Research and Innovation Manager will take ownership of driving research initiatives and fostering innovation within our organization.Key responsibilities will includeDriving and Coordinating Research ActivitiesChairing the Research Review Board to evaluate the feasibility of new projectsProposing and leading ground-breaking projects aligned with our product and process roadmapsActively managing R&D long term roadmapActively participating in Nexperia' s Technology Scouting organization, reporting on UK-based collaborations and potential acquisitionsMaintaining an overview of UK-based subsidies as part of Nexperia' s Subsidy Review BoardBuilding strong partnerships with universities and facilitating collaborative research projectsManaging Conference Papers and Patent SubmissionsChairing the Invention Disclosure Meeting to review and assess new ideasEvaluating the merits of conference papers and patent applications submitted by our teamSupporting inventors in refining invention disclosures for improved quality and impactRepresenting the department on Nexperia' s Patent Review Committee, championing new proposalsInvestigating and analysing competitor intellectual property positionsLeading the review committee for conference paper submissionsWhat you will need Essential:Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of MOSFET device physics, processing, and assembly - preferably Power MOSFETsAttention to Detail: A strong analytical and inquisitive mindsetCommunication Skills: The ability to explain complex technical details to non-technical audiencesStrategic Thinking: Proven ability to manage stakeholders and align activities with long-term goalsBeneficial:Experience reviewing conference papers, and patent applications, and evaluating their meritsKnowledge of Power MOSFET applications, reliability, and failure analysisA track record of successfully chairing multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural meetingsWhy work for us?Remuneration & Reward – competitive base salary dependent on experience, Annual Incentive Plan, excellent package including contributory pension scheme, recognition rewards scheme, income protection, 12 x salary life assurance and more.Health & Wellbeing – Hybrid working policy, 33 days annual leave including bank holidays, flexible benefits scheme, enhanced sick pay, on-site medical centre, subsidised canteen, employee assistance programme, retail and entertainment reductions and a variety of sports and social clubs.Professional Development – Possibility for funded academic support up to PhD level, employee goal setting and development plans, huge growth potential both internally and globally within the business, opportunity to contribute and work with cutting edge technologies.Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability – A global commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2035, working with suppliers who embrace and comply with the Nexperia Supplier Code of Conduct, paid time off for every employee to support charitable work.Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – Corporate members of Neurodiversity in Business and a Disability Confident Employer.
