Gardner Llewelyn is excited to announce an opening for a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
We are a well-respected veterinary practice committed to providing high-quality animal care and excellent service to pet owners.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in our team, supporting the Veterinary Surgeons in delivering exceptional medical care while also providing compassionate support to our patients and their families.
Your responsibilities will include preparing animals for surgery, administering anesthesia, providing pre and post-operative care, performing diagnostic tests, and maintaining patient records.
You will also be actively involved in client education, helping pet owners understand their pets' health needs and treatment options.

Full-time hours (4-day week, with alternate Saturdays).
Part-time positions are also available to suit your needs.

Responsibilities Assist in surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and patient preparation.
Carry out nursing duties such as wound care, bandaging, and administering medications.
Perform routine health checks and diagnostic tests for a variety of animals.
Provide compassionate care to animals and support to their owners throughout their treatment journey.
Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, and wellness practices for their pets.
Maintain accurate and organized medical records for all nursing care provided.
Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the practice at all times.
Requirements Registered Veterinary Nurse with a valid nursing license.
Strong clinical skills, with experience in surgical assistance preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective client interaction.
Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Commitment to animal welfare and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Knowledge of current veterinary practices and a passion for ongoing professional development.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and procedures.
