Main duties of the job As a member of the Outpatients nursing team, you will have various opportunities in developing your nursing skills and knowledge in the Outpatients Department.You will become an essential part in providing a high standard of research based patient care.You will be providing support to the team of staff in delivering a quality service that is linked to high standard of patient care.Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients attending the Outpatients Department, with the involvement of patients and participation of their relatives / carers.
Communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, nursing colleagues, the Multidisciplinary Team and other relevant personnel.

Person Specification Qualifications / Training Essential Registered Nurse on part 1, part 2 or part 12 of the NMC register Commitment to lifelong learning Evidence of further education, training and on-going learning Ability to produce updated personal professional portfolio Desirable Evidence of Assessing and Mentorship qualification Evidence of appropriate Specialist Qualification Previous Experience Essential Previous experience of working in a ward/department care environment Desirable Currently working in an acute ward environment within the NHS Experience of supporting students/clinical support workers within the NHS Skills Essential Evidence of good communication skills both written and verbal Ability to work within a team Good self-awareness Good organizational skills Ability to prioritize and organise workload Flexibility around working hours Experience in working in Outpatient Areas Desirable Computer literacy Venepuncture Cannulation
