Job summary At Colchester hospital, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our friendly and busy day surgery unit to provide exemplary care to our patients admitted to the unit.Elmstead Day Surgery Unit is a 23+ bedded day surgery ward adjacent to 5 operating theatres.
We are a nurse led discharge unit who admits all day cases as well as taking post-operative day cases from other theatre units within the trust.This post is integral to the effectiveness of our busy and forward thinking department and provides an exciting opportunity for you to play a fundamental role in the caring for a patient undergoing a surgical procedure in the Colchester Hospital.In our progressive, supporting and forward thinking team you will be supported in your continual professional development.
Main duties of the job In this role you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a high quality and effective care to our patients.You will need to be proactive, forward thinking and innovative as well as professional, passionate and supportive.
