A bit about the role As Registered Manager at Monksfield, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Children's home, ensuring a warm, loving and welcoming environment for disabled children with moderate to severe learning disabilities.
As Registered Manager you'll manage Ofsted inspections, safeguarding, and health and safety protocols while inspiring a motivated team to work in partnership with parents and professionals.
Daily you will lead and supervise the care team to improve and maintain high standards of care, develop and implement individual care plans, and conduct staff meetings and training sessions.
Collaborating with parents and professionals will be essential to ensure a holistic approach to each child's care.
You'll also monitor policies for compliance, manage budgets effectively, and prioritise the health and safety of both children and staff.
As part of our management structure, all members of the management team will participate in our on-call rota where the expectation is to work one week on-call every 6- 8 weeks, this on-call commitment will provide you with an additional £700 on top of your annual salary.
Your leadership will be essential in guiding the team to achieve positive outcomes for every child and young person in our care.
This role requires registration with Ofsted and successful completion of the Ofsted 'Fit person' application and interview process.
About the service Monksfield Adlin House is a warm welcoming children's home for disabled children with moderate to severe learning disabilities who live with us permanently.
Our purpose-built bungalow includes 5 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a communal living space plus a large, enclosed garden with play equipment.
We provide short breaks in our Acorn home creating a home from home environment.
Working closely with families and professionals with tailor support packages to meet each child's unique needs, ensuring fun, inclusive, inflexible care.

How you'll help to create brighter futures Providing high quality supportive 1:1 and reflective supervision to direct reports.
Promoting and delivering the highest standards of safeguarding practice utilising existing processes and best practice to create a safe positive work and service environment.
Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and maintain channels of communication with colleagues, community organisations, partner agencies and other external agencies.
Developing and maintaining effective networks, relationships, partnerships, and contacts to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
To work closely with Ofsted to ensure we are operating a home that is deemed to be offering each child high quality care through effective leadership and management.

We are looking for someone with a 'can do' attitude to join our team.
Ideally you will have: NVQ or Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential children's service or equivalent (or prepared to work towards it) Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager with at least 2 years' experience within the last 5 years working within a child focused care setting.
Creating an inclusive service, in terms of meeting the needs of the children and establishing a workforce that further enables an inclusive environment.
Demonstrable experience of working with children/young people with complex needs, who exhibit challenging and behavioural difficulties.
Demonstrable working knowledge of Ofsted inspection guidelines Demonstrable working knowledge of Children's Homes (England) regulations 2015, the Children's Act 1989 & 2004, Care Standards Act 2000, Equal Opportunity Policies, National Standards for Children's Mome and Local Authority Child Protection Procedures and any subsequent changes to said legislation.
