Regional Operations Manager

One of the UK's leading operators in the UK Heavy Haul rail freight market.
They are committed to setting new standards of reliability, flexibility and customer service.
They are currently looking for an experienced Regional Operations Manager with a background in the Rail Sector to join their team in their Castleton office with occasional travel to other offices.
Key Responsibilities Developing staff in line management and ensuring they are up to date with current standards, while working alongside the training team.
You will be covering 3 quarries and managing 120 members of staff covering different management chains.
Ensure work is carried out with a continuous view to profitability and efficiency and look after our shareholders by guaranteeing that they see value for money and a profitable business.
Responsible for the delivery, Safety, Performance & Cost contracts and liaising with customers and clients ensuring that the contracts delivery and operational requirements are fully met.
Maintaining compliance with Health & Safety standards and completing risk assessments.
Engagement with Trade Unions.
Experience required: Area management in a Customer and Client facing background.
Experience working with KPI and SLA targets, which includes a financial management and cost sufficiency background.
Commercial an operational management experience.
Demonstratable confidence dealing with all customers ensuring that their expectations are understood, and any issues resolved.
Previous Regional Operation Management experience.
