[[extTitle]] Global Regulatory Affairs Senior Manager - Policy and Intelligence plays a critical role in ensuring the company can capably navigate and credibly shape the external landscape to better enable self-care across the diverse portfolio that spans OTC medicines, medical devices, cosmetic and food supplements.
They are a regulatory expert responsible for leading, developing and implementing new and existing Global regulatory intelligence and policy processes in partnership with subject matter experts across the organization.
They are responsible for centralized visibility of upcoming changes, critical trend analysis and timely action orientated dissemination of ongoing and emerging regulatory intelligence and policy topics to shape internal strategies and risk mitigation within Consumer Health division.
They will be assigned to act directly as a liaison to trade associations regulatory committees to represent Bayer Consumer Health position with a key focus on supporting strategic coordination of EU regional associations (e.g.
AESGP ) , and accountable for providing inputs into consultations whilst managing internal impact assessment to ensure readiness for upcoming changes that may present opportunities or threats to the access and trust in selfcare products to consumers across the globe.
This position is a Global/ Enterprise level role focused on topics that impact our Consumer Health division across our diverse regulatory centralizing visibility of topics with broader implications arising from the EU with other regions, APAC, LATAM and North American regions.
Major Tasks Leadership of internal information sharing, analysis and inputs across Bayer trade association representatives.
Developing, and maintaining new and existing Global Regulatory Intelligence and Policy processes that facilitate centralized visibility, critical analysis and dissemination of ongoing and emerging global regulatory intelligence and policy topics.
Strategic assessment and development of global policy positions on key topics in conjunction with internal subject matter experts within Consumer Health and across the broader Bayer business.
These are used to inform strategic inputs with external bodies including Trade association and Health authorities.
Leading cross functional team(s) for inputs into health authority, trade associations consultations, calls for evidence, responsible for formalizing Bayer's position and strategic inputs based on internal impact assessment, and ensuring consumers continued access and trust in selfcare solutions.
Responsible for critical trend analysis of incoming intelligence topics for dissemination to a broad range of key stakeholders including Executive committee members and Regulatory, Medical, Safety, Quality and Compliance Leadership team through to R&D, Product Supply and Public Affairs.
Ensuring alignment and close collaboration between Regulatory Affairs and public/government affairs teams within the organization to maximize our advocacy efforts to best effect.
Major outputs include: Critical global trend analysis and action orientated recommendations.
Research and formulate policy positions with subject matter experts considering strategic direction – distil complex topics into simplicity for effective advocacy.
Continuous improvement for development of new and existing Global Regulatory Intelligence and Policy processes.
Dissemination of the information within the organization.
Leading cross functional teams for strategic policy development , alignment on external commenting inputs and critical knowledge retention and exchange between subject matter experts.
Who you are?
Experience Degree in pharmacy, pharmacology, regulatory affairs or natural sciences.
Solid experience in Consumer Health – in a relevant Global regulatory position in Consumer Health.
Proven regulatory experience in Consumer Health spanning regulatory classifications – expertise in EU medicinal OTC frameworks essentially + others highly desirable.
Experience in Regulatory Policy –proven experience working with Consumer Health sector trade associations Global understanding of regulations and guidelines in OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Food supplements.
Capabilities: Highly agile, able to navigate and research new topics impacting Consumer health external landscape.
Proven ability to confidently deal with high volumes of incoming new information, managing with high level of change and changing priorities that need communicating to multiple stakeholders at pace.
Strong and flexible team player – experienced in participating in cross functional teams across different cultures and geographies.
Excellent communication and engaging visual presentation skills - highly effective at distilling complex issues into simplicity.
The role requires that complex regulations and strategies are communicated to non-regulatory colleagues across a range of seniority in a manner that is understandable Excellent interpersonal skills - relationship building, influencing skills critical.
Business savvy and commercial orientation.
