Job summary The Tutbury Practice is looking for a Receptionist/Administrator to work in our friendly village GP surgery.
Hours of work would be Monday to Friday to 21 - hours per week.The successful candidate will be highly motivated, confident, enthusiastic, can answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner, with excellent communication and administration skills.We would ideally like an individual with Reception/Customer Service experience in the NHS.
Main duties of the job You will offer general assistance to the practice team and project apositive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, whether in personor via the telephone.Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing theappropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient andeffective way.Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist inthe smooth running of the practice.Facilitate effective communication between patients, membersof the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcareagencies.Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practiceguidelinesComputer data entry/data allocation and collation;processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures andscanning of clinical documents.When dealing with patients, you must be compassionate and discrete.
