The Role: Real Estate Investment Analyst Location: Central London Sector: Real Estate Salary: £££ Highly competitive My client is a top tier real estate company who boast a portfolio of real estate assets and are on an amazing growth trajectory.
With an exceptional track record, and an agile approach, they are now looking to appoint a Real Estate Investment Analyst to support the business development and deployment of capital across sectors.
This role is within the Investment team and involves providing consistent and top-quality investment analyses and market insights to support the decision-making processes of new investments as well as oversight of existing investments.
Candidates must be very technically proficient and able to work effectively through a large volume of deals, with significant underwriting experience, exposure to deal structures and extensive modelling capabilities.
Candidates are required to have 5+ years of Real Estate investment or advisory experience within either a reputable private equity firm, advisory platform, or investment bank.
Key responsibilities: Buy-side acquisition and underwriting of real estate assets and portfolios.
Building complex financial models in excel to determine viability of potential acquisition and development investments.
Performing in depth market research to support key underwriting assumptions and present findings.
Analysis and interpretation of real estate, economic and public company data, including financial statements, to conduct valuation and operational benchmarking.
Manage business case development to structuring insightful analyses and gathering input as required for internal and external purposes.
Support the Investment Team in all aspects of the transactional and due diligence process of potential investments, including managing documentation, site visits and coordination of third party diligence and legal, through the execution of the transaction.
Build and maintain working relationships to acquire market insights from internal and external sources, including lenders, appraisers, agents, and research professionals.
Qualifications and Experience The ability to thrive both autonomously and in a multi stakeholder environment.
Ideally you will also have an Honours degree in a Maths, Economics, Finance or RE focused subject.
The candidate must have an outstanding combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, personal motivation to drive intelligent investments.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Extensive experience of working with valuers and lenders.
Heavy emphasis on advanced Excel and financial modelling skills - modelling skills will be tested.
