Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity?
We have an exciting requirement for a Financial Planner to join our team in Glasgow.
The team provides Financial Planning advice to a combination of their own private clients, integrated wealth management clients and clients with the investment management team.
In addition, they are heavily involved in the expanding professional services channel.
We are looking for someone who is keen to further develop their skills as a Financial Planner in this integrated Wealth Management environment.
As a Financial Planner, you will have a comprehensive understanding of core Financial Planning solutions and will have built knowledge through exposure to various client planning scenarios.
You will analyse our clients' aims and needs and construct solutions to communicate to clients.
You will provide guidance to the paraplanning, and administration team members and support senior team members as required to contribute to completion of tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard for the team.
What will you do?
Assist with the management of a client base, developing and maintaining existing client relationships whilst further increasing business with the generation of new clients.
Proactively network through seeking opportunities with current, new, and potential clients.
Able to support business development events.
Where appropriate: produce financial solutions to meet clients' needs and deliver ongoing monitoring and review, making changes where appropriate to deliver continued suitability of investments.
Responsible for ensuring ongoing client suitability.
Independently and confidently manages the client advice relationship to ensure engagement opportunities to develop client acquisition.
Able to clearly explain to clients why changes to products that are recommended may better suit the client's financial objectives.
Help to drive efficiency within the office/ team to sustain business growth while ensuring fair client outcomes.
Share best practice opportunities to deliver business growth that will contribute to the success of the team / office.
Understand and complies with all of the relevant regulations and principles applying to the role as a Certified Person under SMCR.
Meets FCA qualification and RBCBD internal requirements for authorisation to provide advice in complex and specialist areas, where appropriate.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have You will have attained level 4 as a minimum and ideally working towards CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma or equivalent.
You will have maintained SPS in line with professional body requirements.
Previous experience as a Financial Planner.
In-depth knowledge of Financial Planning and client advice & In-depth knowledge of complex and higher risk advice areas.
Meet FCA qualification and RBC Brewin Dolphin internal requirements for authorisation to provide advice in complex and specialist areas and maintaining knowledge in these areas through CPD.
Possess an In-depth understanding of financial markets/risk management techniques/regulatory requirements.
