Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Radiology Administration Deputy Manager, based at the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
The role is based in a busy patient centred department as part of an administration and clerical team with good peer group support.Applicants will need to be enthusiastic, empathetic, and work flexibly to ensure support and leadership are provided for the administration, medical and clinical teams.
Reliability, logic, and a calm disposition under pressure are essential to deliver a first-class service to all users.
The radiology service is a team approach, however, the ability to work unsupervised and use your own initiative is imperative.
A positive attitude to learn and work with an ever-evolving service, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is required.
It is crucial that a high standard of interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all staff groups, patients and stakeholders are always demonstrated.
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, with a good level of competency in all Microsoft applications.
Experience of using patient systems is advantageous, however, full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job To act as deputy admin manager and be responsible in the absence of the Admin Manager in providing an effective and high quality secretarial, appointment and reception service.
To assist in the coordination and efficient running of the week target and monitoring of radiology waits for the CT modality.
Work as part of the radiology team and other disciplines towards shared objectives and play an active role in coordinating the admin team daily.
To support comprehensive and effective pathways within the Radiology directorate and encourage high standards in all staff by personal example, and constructive supervision.
