The Perch restaurant runner is responsible for the cleanliness and efficient running of the Perch restaurant and bar.
The restaurant runner is an important and integral part of the successful running of the Perch, providing support to the waiting, bar and management team to allow us to provide the "casual excellence" for which we aim   Key Responsibilities   ·        To arrive on time, in uniform ready to start work at the time specified on the rota ·        Represent The Perch's high standards of service and presentation by offering a warm and friendly welcome to all guests.
·        To keep the "waiter station" area tidy organised and clean throughout the shift ·        To assist with the set-up and close-down of the restaurant including (but not limited to) preparing the pass, preparing condiments, checking table set up, checking waiter stations, setting up tables ·        Excellent personal presentation, adhering to all uniform requirements – this includes neat and tidy hair, high levels of personal hygiene clean and ironed uniform ·        Work in an organised, efficient and tidy manner, keeping all restaurant areas clear and clean throughout service, avoiding build-up of clutter.
·        To use your initiative to look around the restaurant looking for ways to improve service – clearing empty glasses, clearing the garden, polishing cutlery, restocking shelves and fridges, picking up rubbish, clearing empty plates from tables, ·        To ask waiters for guidance or if help is needed ·        To actively look for work to do helping wherever possible
