Quality Control Technician
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Technician at a leading specialty chemicals manufacturer in Lancashire, within their R&D function, contributing to maintaining high standards of quality and certification.
This role involves ensuring raw materials and finished products meet exacting quality requirements and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

To be considered for this Quality Control Technician position you will be degree educated in Chemistry or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
Perform daily quality control processes in operational and laboratory settings.
Test raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products using specified methods and record results accurately in SAP.
Recommend corrective actions to ensure products meet specifications.
Conduct investigative testing for non-conforming products, goods returns, and alternative materials.
Maintain laboratory standards, equipment, and cleanliness.
Prepare and update QC specifications, test procedures, and related documentation.
Support lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making for continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Chemistry or equivalent industry experience in QC, R&D, or manufacturing.
Previous experience in a laboratory role, preferably in a quality chemicals environment.
Strong problem-solving, organisational, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work methodically and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
