Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our friendly Aseptic services team, to provide high quality aseptic services.You'll join a team of highly professional and dedicated staff whose aim is to provide an excellent, patient focus service.You'll participate in the day to day routine activities of the aseptic unit.
The prime function of the unit is the preparation of a range of aseptic products including cytotoxic and monoclonal antibody treatments.
Main duties of the job Participate in the day-to-day routine activities of the aseptic unit.
Support the delivery, development, and implementation of all aspects of technical services.Work in a team of other Band 4/5 Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants, to assist in the provision of the aseptic preparation service.
The safe and efficient provision of aseptic chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies products to patients in the Trust.Carry out validation and training activities in areas such as aseptic dispensing of products and performing pre and in-process checks.Support, develop and implement Quality Management Systems that provide reassurance of the safe running of Somerset FT Beacon Pharmacy.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential NVQ Level in 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent and BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician Desirable Accredited to perform pre and in-process checks or willing to undertake training Experience Essential Experience in an aseptic preparation service Demonstrate experience as a registered pharmacy technician in hospital pharmacy (Band 4) Desirable Demonstrate experience as a registered pharmacy technician in hospital pharmacy (Band 5)
