SENCo Special school Taunton area 8:30am - 3:30pm No teaching responsibilities Immediate start ideally We're working on behalf of a fantastic special school based just outside of Taunton that are looking for SENCO to join the team.
Ideally the school are wanting someone to join the team for as soon as possible but they are willing to wait for the right person!
The school look after a range of special needs for students aged 7-19 but are primarily focused around Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs & ASD. The role The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing, planning & monitoring the progress of children in the school.
You must be an excellent listener, be proactive and be naturally confident.
Due to the needs of the students, experience working in special schools is preferred.
Possessing the necessary SENCO qualification is also preferred but the school are open to range of applications.
As mentioned in the bullet points, this role does not require you to be teaching at the school as you'll be kept busy enough in your pastoral support!
