Interim Senior Public Relations and Communications Specialist Location : Remote (UK-based) Salary : Up to £57,000 pro rata Job Type : 6-month Fixed Term Contract, Full-time (37 hours per week) Latham & Bond HR are recruiting for our client, a prominent organisation in the not-for-profit sector.
They are looking for an experienced Senior Public Relations and Communications Specialist to lead the development and execution of external communication strategies.
This role focuses on managing the organisation's public profile, crisis communication, and building strong relationships with key supporters and patrons.
Key Responsibilities : Lead external communications, managing reputation and crisis communication, and enhancing public profile.
Develop and implement communication strategies for change management and support internal communications.
Build and maintain relationships with patrons, celebrity supporters, and other stakeholders, including Board members.
Represent the organization externally, protect brand reputation, and ensure alignment with organizational values.
Manage media relations, write press releases, and develop effective public communication plans.
Support and guide executive leadership in communications, ensuring consistent and coherent messaging across all channels.
Skills and Attributes : Degree in PR/Strategic Communication or equivalent experience; CIPR membership desirable.
Extensive experience in crisis management and public relations, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
Proven ability to lead with sensitivity and strategic insight during periods of organizational change.
