Location: Royston Job Family: Planning Working as part of the Pre-Production Team, you will be responsible for ensuring all orders are appropriately planned to meet customer requirements and KPIs.
This includes supporting raw material and platinum grade metals ordering and planning, updating, and maintaining stock levels.
This role will work closely with other departments outside of Prototype including the development teams, production sites and sales teams.
As a planner, you will be the contact point for the commercial and sales team, so your communication skills should be excellent.
You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth effective collaboration and provide updates, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team logistics team to achieve joint goals, manage tasks and set deadlines, support day-to-day operations, manage your own performance, listen to and collaborate with all team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts escalating to supervisor if needed.. Your responsibilities: JM EHS procedures & policies are met by themselves & others in their team leading by example and helping to create a positive atmosphere in line with JM values.
Working closely and building a strong relationship with other departments internal and external, this collaboration will ensure there is a strong working together culture.
Understanding of SAP functions in ECC.
Order substrates from suppliers in line with manufacturing and development team requirements.
Add orders to schedules and prioritise based on product type, customer requirements and internal KPI's.
Raw material support for the whole group.
Monitor schedules for potential issues and manufacturing conflicts.
Liaise with sales and development teams to communicate information about Samples orders.
Have regular meetings with relevant sales teams to make sure Samples orders are on track.
Liaise with other JM sites for the procurement of substrates and coated catalysts pertaining to Samples orders.
Lead/support key meetings with key stakeholders within the business.
Liaise with Logistics Despatch and warehouse teams daily, ensuring key priorities are communicated and manage from inception to delivery at customer.
Requirements for the role: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent Relevant experience in SAP or other ERP tools Proven IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office Good attention to detail Good team working skills Good written and verbal communication skills How you will be rewarded: We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including bonus, excellent pension contributions and 25 days annual leave (varies for shift-based roles).
