Contract type: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) – Permanent Location: Brighton Head Office with travel involved Internal Applications Only The Property & Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Study Groups estates projects from inception to completion.
This includes coordinating with 3rd party service providers and Property Services Managers to ensure objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Property & Project Manager will be responsible for managing capital expenditure for project budgets, schedules, and resources, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
You will be required to have a strong background in property, project management, and construction, with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
ABOUT THE ROLE Manage all aspects of project development.
Manage the relationship with all internal and external bodies including developers, local authorities and services providers.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for the buildings occupied.
H&S at work Act, CDM, planning permission, building control, and landlord's consent.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration among the property & project team members.
Be the SME and provide guidance on property & projects, communicating at all levels both internally and externally.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identifying and mitigating property & project risks and issues.
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and expectations.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Prepare, present and maintain the property & project documentation, e.g.
reports, presentations, project plans, schedules, project changes and variations Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
Resolve property & project-related conflicts and issues.
Work with Director of Estates to negotiate contracts and agreements with contractors ABOUT YOU Minimum experience of 5 years in property & project management within the education sector.
Proven track record of successfully managing minor and major property projects.
Knowledge of relevant building compliance regulations, building standards and Health & Safety to ensure our buildings are compliant (i.e.
Fire Strategy, heating & ventilation and space planning etc).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure, meeting deadlines, being proactive and self-motivated.
Experience with budgeting and financial management.
Ability to conduct site visits, inspections and sign off on productivity achieved balanced against cost forecast and payments.
Strong skills in analytical & critical thinking, with a risk base approach to all property & project matters.
Ability to develop and implement project plans and schedules. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage contracts and agreements.
Prince2 qualified.
IOSH qualified Microsoft Project qualification desirable.
IWFM qualification desirable.
