2506 – Project Manager – Aberdeen or London An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager with a strong background of managing large and complex IT projects within an enterprise setting to join our team in Aberdeen or London (hybrid working).
You will be responsible for delivering the overall project objectives and specific team deliverables, by planning project activities and executing assigned tasks/work within the expected quality standards, to ensure the project is a success.
What you'll do Under minimal direction, lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for IT projects, following the agreed project delivery framework Facilitate needs assessments and the development of recommended project control solutions to be used for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects through integration of various Project Management tools and project delivery frameworks Determine, monitor, and review all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, resourcing requirements, and risks Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project, including subcontractor monitoring Ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards and requirements Control project requirements, scope, budget, resourcing and change management risks and issues Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria Manages changes in operational plan via the defined functional processes Assists in the training of the project team on application of the procedures Maintains awareness on emerging technologies and Project Management techniques Develop project control and reporting procedures and manages changes in operational plan Undertake status review meetings among project team members and stakeholders and escalate risks and issues to the Programme Manager Ensure project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored Work with management on project proposals, contracts, estimates, and schedules Coach and advise team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues Develop and manage stakeholder engagement, ensuring continuous and clear communication with clients, vendors and stakeholders What to bring Strong experience of planning and managing multiple projects in an IT infrastructure or application environment Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Ability to develop projects and deliver them against financial and resource constraints Good project planning and execution skills Proven track record with the use of reporting tools to monitor project activities and analyse project performance Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability develop and explain the project goals and objectives to the project team and stakeholders Basic understanding of Project Online Strong knowledge of project management principles including Waterfall or Agile Qualifications in one of the following project delivery methodology or frameworks and experience of others, such as: PMI Standards, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Managing Successful programmes (MSP) or equivalent Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent leadership skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with users and stakeholders at all levels Ability to manage stakeholders and internal staff through large scale business change Previous experience within the Oil & Gas sector would be advantageous Previous Integration project experience beneficial What You'll Get in Return: We are committed to recognising and rewarding hard work and offer a competitive salary and benefits package which includes (but is not limited to) the following; Company Pension Scheme Private Medical Insurance Private Dental Insurance Group Income Protection Plan Group Life Assurance Cycle to Work Scheme Prosocial Events Electric Car Salary Sacrifice Scheme We also believe effective training and development benefits both the individual and the organisation as a whole and contributes to the achievement of the company's mission.We encourage all our employees to further their skills and experience via various methods of learning.
