Design Programme Manager Accountability for project management of design project content (Exterior, Interior, C&M, Interaction, Visualisation and Design Quality) during all product development phases, from architecture definition to final product design.
Management of Production programmes and concept programmes, liaising with external stakeholders to manage production budgets and timelines.
Deliver according to design plans, milestones, and objectives in respective Projects.
Roles & responsibilities: · Drive, according to product development process and time/logic plan, to fulfil project requirements and accomplish project objectives · Maintain project plans and sub plans and integrate with overall project/program plans · Support in relation to project timing, content/scope, and quality · Plan, secure and manage project activities and resources · Identify and manage risks · Assist/manage project cost, forecasts, and follow-up · Project communication, with stakeholders and management · Co-ordinate and organise reviews and be the spokesperson for the company to communicate the design decisions/directions given by senior members of the team · Work alongside Studio Engineering and CAS to manage release dates and production schedules and timelines · Minute all meetings to ensure all decisions are accurately recorded Skills, experience & attributes: · University degree in design, engineering, or relevant work experience desired · Extensive project experience within automotive design environment (including production delivery) · Good Understanding of all processes and tools within automotive design · Extensive knowledge of processes interfacing with automotive design · Ability to manage and analyse economic data (forecast, budget, and actuals) · Interpretation and application of program plans to meet project goals in terms of time, cost, and content · Persistency to pursue targets and make decisions · Ability to foster team spirit · Experience of working in an automotive OEM or Tier 1 Supplier environment · High level of self-initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision · Strong interpersonal skills Excellent package and opportunity.
