Shift Pattern: As an example, our site at St. Ives follows the below shift pattern: 2 Days on, 1 day off, 2 nights on, 4 days off , 3 days on, 1 half-day (Saturday Morning), 1 day off, 3 nights on, 4 days off Our shifts run from 6AM - 6PM / 6PM - 6AM... or 6AM - 12PM on a Saturday half-day shift.
So, what's the mission?
You will work as part of a team to manufacture high-quality concrete products in our dual-block plant using the best technology and techniques whilst ensuring you put health and safety at the heart of everything you do!
You'll mainly work with concrete products, operating press machinery, hand-powered tools, shot blast machinery, and mobile plant such as Forklift trucks to move stock around the site.
You'll learn all about manufacturing techniques, processes, safety, quality waste and OEE too.
As part of this learning journey, you'll gain experience, and year on year, you'll develop skills and increase your pay.
You'll need to be a good communicator so you can provide accurate information at handovers and liaise with our maintenance team and team managers.
Don't worry if you've not worked in our industry before, we can teach you everything there is to know about Manufacturing.
All we ask is that you have a positive 'can do' outlook and a willingness to learn!
What are the mission-critical skills?
Experience working in a busy Production/Manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential Forklift truck license and experience would be advantageous Good group working spirit Flexibility on shift rotation or night shift experience will be required Computer user - basic knowledge required Safe to Supervise or IOSH qualification would be advantageous but not essential Interested and want to find out more?
