Production Manager Description The Estée Lauder Companies is currently recruiting for a Production Manager to lead and join an experienced and committed team at Whitman Laboratories where as a team we manufacture around a fifth of Estée Lauder's global sales output.

We would love for you to come and join the Estée Lauder family, where the successful candidate will be responsibl e for managing and developing the Production functions of the Whitman Plant Manufacturing facility producing prestige brand products in creams, lotions and fine fragrance.
As well as ensuring that the Production organisation meets and exceeds all of its objectives in terms of Cost, Quality, Customer Service, Environment, Health & Safety, Utilisation and Organisational Development.
We are looking for an innovative, highly experienced individual to optimise Production utilisation to meet all Customer Service requirements.
Key Responsibilities include: Provide a safe place of work for all employees ensuring that Production and all of its processes are adhered to and compliant with all statutory requirements in terms of Health, Safety and Environment.
Ensure awareness of and compliance with GMP and OTC.
Coach, motivate and empower the Production Management Team to deliver business objectives through a process of continuous and sustained improvement in the development of their own organisation.
Provide leadership and development of the Production Management Team.
Ensure that all daily output requirements are met to the agreed cost and efficiency standards, whilst ensuring high quality, safe practices and a safe environment to work in.
Ensure that Production optimises customer satisfaction through adherence to all global quality standards, as measured by minimising plant attributable customer complaints and elimination of quality alerts.
Manage overhead budgets in Production.
Ensure Production performance against global Operational Key Performance Indicators such as Cost Efficiency, Quality, Health, Safety and Environment, Plan adherence and Plant throughput and Plant utilization.
Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to and promote best practice whenever there is an opportunity.
Continually develop and promote strong harmonious employee relations.
Develop and grow employees in the Production organisation by ensuring that learning opportunities and succession planning strategies are provided and implemented.
Develop and communicate the local Production strategy, ensure alignment to the Site and Supply Chain strategies.
Contribute to and participate in key site based initiatives as required.
Participate as required in regional and global initiatives such the global manufacturing program, BBS roll out, and R&D interaction.
Qualifications Characteristics of a successful candidate: Leadership experience and an ambassador of the Estée Lauder vision and values Excellence in communications, strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the business In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, with good knowledge of Best Practices in Lean Manufacturing such as: GMP, SMED, SPC, MTM, TPM, 5S, LEAN, VSM, VS, RACI Analytical, entrepreneurial and organisational skills Ability to thrive in a busy and challenging production environment Strong problem solving skills including situational analysis and producing written reports Develop, implement and manage change - highly innovative individual with experience working through transformational change in a manufacturing environment.
