As the Packaging Product Manager at Agfa , you will be responsible for leading the product strategy, development, and lifecycle management of packaging solutions. You will play a critical role in driving product innovation, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and the company's overall business objectives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, marketing, and operations, you will manage the packaging portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage the packaging product portfolio strategy, aligned with company goals and market opportunities. Identify growth areas and create a product roadmap based on market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis. Drive innovation by identifying new product opportunities in the packaging sector and developing a business case for investment. Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development process from concept through to commercialization. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and design teams to create packaging products that meet regulatory, sustainability, and market requirements. Define product specifications, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans. Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in the packaging industry. Analyze data to refine product positioning, features, and messaging. Monitor competitor activity and recommend strategic adjustments to stay ahead in the market. Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of packaging products. Oversee product performance and profitability, making adjustments as needed to meet business goals. Ensure ongoing optimization of products to meet customer and regulatory demands. Work closely with the sales team to provide product expertise, training, and sales tools. Collaborate with key customers to gather feedback and ensure their needs are incorporated into the product development process. Support sales and marketing initiatives through product demonstrations, presentations, and promotional activities. Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the liaison between various departments, including R&D, sales, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure seamless product delivery. Provide input to marketing teams for the development of promotional materials and product launch campaigns. Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to ensure timely and efficient product availability. Sustainability & Innovation: Identify and integrate sustainable packaging solutions to align with Agfa's sustainability goals. Drive the implementation of eco-friendly materials and innovative technologies that reduce the environmental impact of packaging products. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA) is preferred. Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in packaging, printing, or related industries. Proven experience in managing the full product lifecycle, from concept to launch. Strong understanding of packaging materials, technologies, and industry trends. Skills: Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of sustainability practices within the packaging industry is a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to think strategically while also being detail-oriented. Very good knowledge of English language both in writing as verbal. Why Join Agfa?
