9-Month Fixed Term Contract £32,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependant on experience About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in supplier procurement, particularly within marketing or related industries, and will play a key role in ensuring that our agency obtains the best value from our suppliers.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating prices with our suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and competitiveness.
You will work closely with our internal teams to understand our core service requirements, evaluate supplier offerings, and secure optimal agreements.
You should have experience evaluating, benchmarking and negotiating with suppliers in the influencers, creative services, events, and professional services industries.
Key Responsibilities: Price Review and Analysis: Regularly review prices received from suppliers across our core service categories (influencers, PR, social media, events, professional services) to ensure they meet budgetary requirements and industry standards.
Competitiveness Assessment: Assess the competitiveness of supplier pricing in comparison to market trends and alternative options, recommending changes where necessary.
Negotiations: Lead price negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best possible value for the agency while maintaining strong relationships and service quality.
Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to understand their offerings, identify cost-saving opportunities, and address any service issues.
Contract Management: Review existing contracts to ensure terms and conditions are being met and negotiate contract renewals or amendments.
Market Research: Stay informed about market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement practices.
Cost Tracking: Monitor and report on savings achieved through procurement activities and recommend strategies for further cost reduction.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including finance and operations, to support budgeting and project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience: Required: Previous experience in procurement, preferably in a marketing agency, professional services firm, or related field.
Essential: In-depth understanding of supplier procurement, cost analysis, and negotiation techniques.
Location: Must be based in the UK and eligible to work without sponsorship.
Desirable: CIPS qualification (or working towards it) are highly valued.
Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using procurement or purchasing software and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
