Principal Software Developer - Mern, Iot

R&D focused SW & electronics technology company is looking to hire a Principal Software Developer to join a new R&D Concept Development team.
You will be responsible for taking a lead on all architecture, full stack engineering and front-end design for software related projects.
This will involve taking ownership of projects from the idea generation phase, through the concept development phase to system demonstration in the lab and in the field.
The role will involve interaction with and technical oversight of both a multi-disciplinary internal engineering (SW & HW) team and external partners.
Essential skills/experience: Design and development experience with the MERN (Mongo, Express, React, Node) stack.
Design experience with any of C#/Java/Python for GUIs.
Familiarity with the challenges of taking a concept design from early idea generation through to mature prototype.
Ability to analyse solutions and make prototype design trade-offs.
Desirable: Experience of wireless, IoT or connected device projects Design experience for geographical mapping/controls Design experience for RF/analogue displays/controls (spectrum analysis etc.)
in GUIs.
Due to the nature of the work, you must have current SC clearance, or be eligible (You will need to hold a UK passport) This is a hybrid role, requiring 3-4 days per week in the office.
