These posts have a dual base (University Hospital Crosshouse & Ayr) with an area-wide remit therefore travel to other hospital sites is required.
What you will do:An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced and highly motivated Pharmacists to lead and manage the clinical pharmacy team across acute hospital sites.
You will be responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of clinical pharmacy services across NHS Ayrshire & Arran ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation and standards.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating clinical pharmacy service provision and performance using this evaluation as a basis for improvement and developmentThis is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly skilled and motivated team, to lead and contribute to the development of clinical pharmacy services and have an active role in local, regional and national groups.For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job descriptionKnowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:There are two posts under recruitment, Position 1 will be strategically aligned to the Emergency Care directorate (including Combined Assessment Units, Emergency Departments and Hospital at Home) and Position 2 will be strategically aligned to the Medicine and Care of the Elderly directorate.
The Principal Pharmacists Clinical Services will promote strong clinical governance links and enable collaborative working with the directorate senior leadership team.
The ideal candidate shall therefore demonstrate a passion for leadership, innovation and possess excellent communication skills.

In accordance with AFC terms and conditions there is a requirement to work over 7 days and/or an extended working day.Position 1: 22.3 hours per week.Position 2: 29.6 hours per week.A car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
