Position: Press Brake Setter Location: Leicester Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday) Pay: £15.00 per hour Benefits: Free parking, on-site parking Role Overview: As a Press Brake Setter you will use your expertise in sheet metal fabrication to operate and maintain press brake machines, including Amada and Promecam models, to bend and shape sheet metal parts according to precise specifications.
This role focuses primarily on light fabrication.
Day-to-Day Duties: Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate Amada and Promecam press brake machines to bend sheet metal parts accurately and efficiently.
Interpret Engineering Drawings: Review detailed engineering drawings and job orders to determine project specifications and requirements.
Tooling Selection & Adjustments: Choose appropriate tooling, dies for each job, and make adjustments to machine settings to ensure precise bending.
Quality Control: Monitor and inspect metal parts for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance.
Safety & Organization: Follow strict safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Required Experience & Skills: Experience: At least 2 years as a Press Brake Operator, with experience in Amada and Promecam press brake machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
Mathematical Ability: Proficient in measuring and calculating dimensions for precise bending and fabrication.
Sheet Metal Fabrication Skills: Knowledge of working with hand tools, welding, grinding, and general sheet metal fabrication.
Tooling Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of tooling and dies used in press brake operations.
Material Knowledge: Understanding of various sheet metal materials, including their properties and handling techniques.
